Vero Beach Film Festival

Shift times for Friday at Stark Theater at Riverside:

1st Shift: 9:30am-12:30pm
2nd Shift: 12pm-3pm
3rd Shift: 3:30-7pm
4th Shift: 7-10pm

Venue Captains

Should have enough knowledge of the festival to help festival goers and shift responsibilities to orient team members. Captains help fellow volunteers and give a brief rundown of jobs at the beginning of shifts, covering the particulars of their venues. During the shift, the captain will be responsible for time management to ensure everything runs on time (esp movie start times). Captains are responsible for the Venue Bin (that holds the supplies); if running low on supplies, be in touch with Volunteer Director. Ensure that your team collects tourism surveys & COUNTS THE FILM BALLOTS AND TALLIES THE VOTES ON THE OUTSIDE OF ENVELOPE. Please resolve issues within your team. We trust you! Greeters

Will welcome festival goers with enthusiasm and courtesy, hand out tourism surveys and film rating ballot. Greeters will guide festival goers into theaters, wine tasting area and any other experience at that particular venue. Greeters are vital in ensuring the festival experience in our venues is as safe as possible, welcoming and FUN! Please be sure to have smiling faces.

Line Managers

Greeters will also share roles as line managers. Line managers will be on crowd-control duty, helping our fest goers line up in the correct line and at the correct times to enter the screening venues. One line manager will be at the start of the line and, the other at the end of the line, so that festival goers will queue up in the correct places. Start of line manager will have a clicker to count number of patrons entering theater/viewing area.

Wine/Beverage Pourers

Are responsible for pouring tasting size servings of wine (or other beverage) to fest goers as they approach the wine table. Pourers will wear VBWFF aprons over their festival t-shirt. Information regarding the wine (or beverage) being served will be in the venue bin and the pourer should become familiar with it and keep it handy.
