Friends of the Black Run Preserve

Come out and help us maintain the red trail at this next Community Cleanup Event. We will be performing trail maintaining and clean-up. The proposed new section has been surveyed and marked, and now needs ground work to improve it to a "trail". Involved is brush clearing, small tree trimming, hauling-off of logs, raking, removal of any garbage, and trail marking. In one small potential wet area we will plan for a puncheon (bog bridge) to be installed later. Comments on the trail route and layout will be welcome. All volunteers welcome. We will meet at then end of Country Club Lane.

NOTE: Ticks and chiggers will still be a possibility. We strongly urge volunteers to wear long pants and to pretreat boots and pants with permethrin.
