Tree Identification: Fall Walk
Saturday, October 29 2022
Let’s take a walk to see how many fall colors there are in the forest. Emily Ferguson will use fall color and other tree characteristics to help identify different trees along the way. This is an easy-to-moderate walk over woodland trails that join the Rivanna Trail. If you are already a tree enthusiast, please bring your favorite tree ID book, hand lens, and/or binoculars as aids. Also, remember to dress for comfort as we will not be walking very fast, wear hiking boots or sneakers, and bring water and food, if necessary. Limit 15 participants.
It is recommended that you first take the "Fall Tree Identification by Season " Zoom class on 10/25/2022 at 7:00 to enhance your experience on this walk.
