January Parent Advisory Committee Meeting with Child Coaching and Elementary Trimester 2 Financial and Leadership Lessons
Tuesday, January 31 2017
Our Quarterly Parent Advisory Committee & Child Coaching Meeting has been moved from early January 2017 to January 31st! Please let us know if you can come. We have lots of opportunities to help out!
This meeting will be for the whole family & volunteers, and children of volunteers, who want to take part in elementary financial lessons. Some of UNI's Early Education Majors will join us to help teach the financial and leadership lessons to students K-2 & 3-5. While middle and high school students help serve with JLWCF to prepare, serve, and clean up dinner for us.
Also during this time Angela Weekly from Veridian Credit Union, as a committee member of Campaign for Grade Level Reading in the Cedar Valley, will facilitate a focus group to get more feedback from parents on becoming more engaged in their child's reading and education.
Opportunities to help would be with driving families, check in desk area with Kelsey, child supervision (ages 0-5), kitchen help, and of course participating in the child coaching training as well. We would love to see and hear from you. Please let us know if you can attend!
And as always, thanks for all you do to help our students and our program!
