Build 2 Hygiene Kits - Bring to December Meeting
Tuesday, December 01 2026
Since 1975, Pathways of Hope has led a community effort to provide access to food, shelter, and
housing to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in North Orange County. The HUB of Hope is
our community resource center in Fullerton where those in need can access our food pantry program as
well as an array of housing services.
You can directly help the people we serve by building care kits that will be given out at The HUB
resource center. This project is great for families, church groups, coworkers or any other group that
wants to come together and do some good in our community.
Each SLOBS family is invited to create TWO Hygiene Kits. You will bring the kits to our December 7 meeting.
Service Hours - Each SLOBs family participating earns 2 service hours. For example - if Thomas if and I make two kits, one of us will get 2 hours.
HERE’S HOW:
1. COLLECT ITEMS: We encourage you to get creative with the items you choose! Just keep in mind
these kits may be carried around everywhere and so shouldn’t be too heavy. Here’s a list of
suggested items to help get you started:
• Socks & beanie caps
• Crackers with peanut butter or cheese
• Hand wipes / hand sanitizer
• Shampoo/conditioner
• Lotion
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Body wash or bar soap
• Comb or small brush
• Band Aids
• Chapstick
• Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses
• Pack of facial tissues
• Maxi pads/tampons
• Tuna (pop top canned meat) and
crackers
• Granola bar or ready to eat snacks
• Mints or gum
• Gift certificate to fast food
2. CREATE BAGS: Now you’re ready to assemble! Gather all the items you’ve collected and put
them in a large Ziploc, cinch sack or small backpack.
3. DROP OFF: Once all the care kits have been assembled, bring your TWO bags to our December meeting.
