Radiant Futures is hosting a Quinceañera party for its community. Quinceanera is a celebration of girls' 15th birthday and their transition to adulthood. Traditionally, the girls would be escorted into the party by their fathers or brothers. However, girls and their mothers in the Radiant Futures community are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, so they have no older males from their families to escort them into the party room. Therefore, Radiant Futures is seeking SLOBs male volunteers to work as escorts and one SLOBs parent to assist.

Escort Attire: white dress shirt and black or navy pants (dress pants or khaki pants). Tie and jacket are optional but highly welcome.

Minimum hours earned: Two. If arriving on time, volunteers will earn the GREATER of 2 hours or the actual number of hours worked (rounded to nearest half an hour).

Notes: Escort volunteers will only walk the girls from the outside to the inside of the party room. No couples' photos will be taken with the girls. Please direct any other questions to the SLOBs liaison or Radiant Futures coordinator.

Reminder for volunteers: Please download the TrackItForward mobile app (or "Volunteer Time Tracking") to your mobile device. Log your hours during your shift at the event site, so your attendance can be confirmed by the GPS verification. (Activation of the location tracking feature in your mobile device may be required.) Cancellation and logging hours after the event date can not be done in the mobile app; please go to www.trackitforward.com to do so. Email Philanthropy@FullertonSlobs.com if you forget to log hours at the event, leave early from the event, arrive more than 15 minutes at the event, or have other questions about signups or cancellations.

Cancellation policy: Please find a replacement if cancelling within 3 days before the event date. If a volunteer must cancel within 72 hours (or 3 days) of the event, please notify the SLOBs liaison; you also must find a replacement to work your shift. A volunteer will receive a warning email after a no-show, and 3 warnings will put a volunteer's membership in poor standing.
