Assistance League Taste of the Town

"Taste of the Town" is Assistant League of Fullerton's 45th annual fundraiser in which about 20 local restaurants donate their signature dishes and foods to serve 500 guests. Guests and volunteers attending the event can sample all-you-can-eat gourmet restaurant dishes plus complimentary beverages. Entertainment is also provided at the event, including music and dancing.

** Dinner will be provided to volunteers**

Volunteers will assist with setup, event support, ushering, general help, and/or clean up. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the various restaurant dishes and beverages offered at the event, but please follow the instruction of the event coordinator who may stagger your dinner breaks to make sure there's enough volunteer coverage throughout the evening.

Non-SLOBs volunteers: Family members and friends are welcome to join SLOBs members and mentors to volunteer if they are age 14+, but they must sign the attached waiver, text or email a photo of the signed waiver to the SLOBs liaison, and follow the SLOBs Code of Conduct at the event. (Waiver and Code of Conduct are attached.) SLOBs members who are bringing non-SLOB volunteers should notify SLOBs liaison the number of non-SLOBs volunteers they are bringing before the event date.

Attire: Navy SLOBs T-shirt and close toed shoes.

Hour log (SLOBs volunteers): Please arrive on time and log the greater of 2 hours or the actual number of hours worked (rounded to the nearest half hour). Please log hours at the event site using the Track It Forward mobile app with the GPS verification feature.

To cancel a signup up to the day of the event: Cancellations within 3 days before the event is only permitted if there's an emergency or unexpected sickness. Please notify the SLOBs coordinator if you are cancelling within 3 days before the event or on the day of the event. In all cases of cancellation, please do not use the mobile app; instead, visit www.TrackItForward.com, log in with your username and password, go the event that you signed up for, go to the shift you signed up for, tap on the "+" sign to find your name, then tap the "X" sign next to your name. Once your name is removed from the list, a cancellation email will be sent to the event organizer, and your cancellation is complete.
