Cascades Academy

Volunteering for the lunch program helps us create a healthy and delicious lunch option for all our Cascades Academy students and staff. Its also a lot of fun! It's a perfect opportunity for grandparents or other family members to get involved in the community and get to know other folks and the students! Volunteers will set up the salad bar and hot trays for the caterers, serve the meals according to portioning guidelines and participant lists, and wash dishes throughout their shift. Our lunch program is only successful with a full slate of volunteers.

We have two daily "shifts" - the early set up and serve shift, which starts at 1045 and ends at 1245, and the later serve and clean up shift which starts at 1145 and ends and 130 (or when clean up is finished) We hope this will help with any time crunch our volunteers felt with the longer lunch shifts, and may give more folks the opportunity to pitch in. Of course, if you're available for the whole time (1045-130), please don't hesitate to fill in both slots!

By signing up, you are committing to helping out the same day of the week beginning on the first day of school: September 4-December 21. Should you wish to sign up as an on-call substitute, you would be contacted the night before or the morning of the shift to volunteer when a regularly scheduled helper is sick, chaperoning another school outing, or simply unable to help on a certain day of their commitment.
