The bridge that heads out towards the CCT from trail 18 across the road has always been a trouble spot with water and the intersection to the new trail 19 is no better. The park was able to get us some stone dropped in next to the site and I'm hoping we can get some volunteers last minute for a work day to help bring it down and spread it out. We will basically be taking the stone down by wheelbarrow about 50 feet down hill and dumping it along with placing some larger tread stones hopefully to remediate the problem. If you have a wheelbarrow to bring, that will help supplement mine. A spade shovel might also help because our ones from the box are pretty heavy.

I know Baker's is this weekend and the weather looks rough, but hopefully we can get a core group out to make it happen since we got the materials. If anything with the weather, this is a great excuse to bail early on the bakers weather telling people you need to get some rest for a trail day on Sunday.
***edit: BAKER's has been postponed until April 21 due to weather so now you definitely don't have an excuse. Hopefully the weather holds out enough for us, but we don't need pristine trails to dump rock since I can guarantee you that this spot would have been wet either way.***

Please keep an eye out on this event page for details as we get closer because we will make a decision based on the weather. If anything it's not good riding weather so let's slide this work day in last minute so hopefully when it dries out, trail 19 is that much more rideable. If you have rode through there, you will know how bad it has been.

We will meet at the playground next to the intersection at the base of the hill with the 4 way stop sign. If the location is not clear, let me know and I can post a picture.
