Distribute Welcome Yard Signs to homes of incoming freshman families - Pick up signs on Friday, March 4

Friday, March 04 2022

Friday, March 04, 2022
Parent volunteers are needed to deliver yard signs to welcome our incoming students for the 2022-2023 school year! Admission letters will be mailed on Friday, March 04, and we would like to have yard signs placed in the yards (or entries) of our incoming families beginning Friday evening, March 04 (after 5 p.m.) All deliveries must be completed by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 06. Please contact Sirine Roumi with any questions at 909-596-1946 Ext 273.

-Signs and address lists can be picked up from Sirine Roumi in the 300 building (facing the senior parking lot) anytime AFTER 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 4th until 3:30 p.m.

- Signs can be placed AFTER 5:00 p.m. beginning Friday, March 04. Please DO NOT place the signs before 5:00 p.m.

- Please complete placing your group of signs by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 06.

- Distribution lists will be grouped by zip code, and every effort will be made to give you a list of families in or near the community you sign up for. We appreciate your flexibility in delivering signs to families as needed to ensure that all incoming students receive a Welcome sign from Damien.

- Initial lists will be created in groups of five (5) homes. Please let us know if you can deliver to more than one group!

- As you deliver your signs, please mark the names off your list. If you encounter incorrect information (wrong address, gated community), please WRITE the details and/or corrections on your sheet and send a copy of your sheet back to Sirine Roumi at roumi@damien-hs.edu or text a photo of your sheet to 951-741-1070, so we can make the corrections in our system.

- Please wear a mask and observe all social distancing guidelines if you wish to introduce yourselves to our newest Spartan families. If you prefer to place the sign for contact-free delivery quietly, that is ok too! You are encouraged to wear your Damien gear during the deliveries. Some volunteers opt to add green and gold balloons to the signs. We only ask that the signs be placed in the front yard or planter facing the street so that our incoming families see their special welcome signs.

- We ask that current parents be involved in distributing the signs. Students may, of course, join their parents in the visits, but please do not send your sons out to do this task without you.

- HOURS - please log the ACTUAL time spent picking up and delivering the signs for your family service hour credit. This will be approximately TWO (2 ) hours of time in most cases.

Thank you for being an important part of welcoming new families to our Damien community!

If you have questions, please ask. Contact Sirine Roumi at roumi@damien-hs.edu
