Inclusion Speak: How it Affects and Oppress Marginalized Communities

Wednesday, March 31 2021

This is the fifth segment of our six-part series titled “Social Issues Students are Facing” with the CESAR Vice-President Services and Finance - Carol Sutherland. Our conversation will address how students and especially Black, Indigenous, students of Colour and LGBTQI* students are impacted by COVID-19. This conversation will provide a space to discuss stress due to anti-Black racism, as well as due to other oppressions (e.g., sexism, homophobia, ableism, etc.) and the toll these oppressions take on students’ mental health, as well as how they can be compounded due to our complex intersectional identities.
