Event Sign Up Sheet | Track It Forward

Floater Monitor - Capitol Theatre

Monday, March 16 2026

3/13/2026 - PLEASE READ *****BEFORE**** signing for a monitor slot. If you ARE NOT in compliance with the background check (expired after 3 years or haven't had one done yet) please do not sign up for a slot as we do not have time to get your background check done before this shift. If you only need to complete your Safety of Minors training, please do that before signing up for a slot. If your training has expired, you should be receiving emails from Utah YPPS via Ideal-Logic on a weekly basis with the link to complete the training. Thank you for your help in keeping our dancers safe and keeping our compliance with the University of Utah's Youth Protection Program.

Monitors are parent volunteers who help the dancers during and after rehearsals and performances, on and off stage, and in the dressing rooms or lounge areas. Monitors need to stay with their classes for the entire monitor shift, we cannot leave classes unattended. Please do not bring anyone with you (such as younger siblings) when you monitor.

**PLEASE NOTE** To sign up for this volunteer slot, you must have completed your background check in the past 3 years and completed the youth protection training for 2025-2026 (now due each year). Please contact Jennifer at jennifer.killpack-knutsen@utah.edu if you haven't completed this step yet or have questions about these requirements. You may claim volunteer time to complete these requirements. Thank you for your help keeping our dancers safe!

*Please plan on attending the Monitor Orientation (date TBA, but likely to be March 15th at 9:00am) at Capitol Theatre. You will get a tour of the space we are using and important instructions and updates for your monitor shift. Time spent at the orientation can be counted toward your volunteer hours. *PDF of Monitor note will be coming soon

*Your monitor shift is scheduled 15 minutes before dancers' call time. Please arrive on time so students can check in with you before they go into rehearsal and please do not leave until all students are accounted for.

*You can monitor for any class, even if you don’t have a child in that particular class.
