Guests will have the opportunity to complete two activities in the STEM Center with the museum's education team. Public tours will take place throughout the day as well. Catch a tour; do one or two activities; and have fun during your visit to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.   
  
Activities:  
  
Tippy Towers: Participants will complete an engineer design challenge to develop a load bearing tower. Following guidelines their mission is to design the tower to hold the most weight without tipping over. Following the challenge, discover how NASA uses these designs in the space program. 
  
Tippy Tower Times 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  

 

Solar Bug: Participants make a bug that will move by the power of the sun. Participants learn about solar cells and solar power 
  
Solar Bug Times 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.  
  
Guided tours:  
  
These last about 45 minutes and will take place at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.  
No RSVP required. Guests must pay general admission at entrance to join the tour and activity. Guests can join the activity or tours as they choose. Space is limited to 25 people for each activity or tour time slot. A parent or legal guardian must be with the child for the activity and tour.
