Guests will have the opportunity to complete two activities in the STEM Center with the museum's education team. Public tours will take place throughout the day as well. Catch a tour; do one or two activities; and have fun during your visit to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.
ACTIVITIES:
Forces of Flight
Learn about Neil Armstrong and the airplanes he piloted, including the Learjet that set five world records. Children will explore the four forces of flight through hands-on experiments and create their own balsa wood flyers, decorating them with markers.
11:00 AM & 2:00 PM
Shuttle Design
Discover the science behind space shuttles and design your own shuttle glider. Experiment with weight and lift to ensure your shuttle lands safely without crashing.
12:00 PM & 3:00 PM
Guided Tours
Enjoy a 45-minute guided tour of the museum at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM.
