Part of our America 250 celebration, guests will have the opportunity to complete two activities in the STEM Center with the museum's education team. Public tours will take place throughout the day as well. Catch a tour; do one or two activities; and have fun during your visit at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.

Activities: Food in Space

Mission Nutrition
Learn about healthy eating while exploring how the space environment affects what astronauts can eat. Sample astronaut ice cream and plan a nutritious meal for your mission.
11:00 AM & 2:00 PM

Lunar Biospheres
Discover how astronauts grow food in space and see an example through Lunar Biospheres. Then, create your own mini biosphere using Oreos and gummy worms.
12:00 PM & 3:00 PM

Guided Tours
Enjoy a 45-minute guided tour of the museum at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM.
