Women's Integration - Child Care

Through the utilization of arts and crafts, our Women's Integration Gatherings focus on factors affecting integration such as English learning, skill building and connection to the wider receiving community. We are looking for two female volunteers to offer invaluable care for the 5-10 children ages 1 - 5 who are brought with their mothers to the class.
TIME COMMITMENT: The hope is that a volunteers would be available every Wednesday through March 15th, although there is flexibility to work with your schedule. Do not be discouraged to sign up if you are unable to do multiple Wednesdays!
ENVIRONMENT: The Gatherings take place in a 2 bedroom apartment in the North Highlands area. The women participate in English learning and crafts in the living room while the children play in one of the larger bedrooms.
REQUIREMENTS
Must exercise high degree of patience and flexibility to work with children who do not speak any English.
Record and report monthly volunteer hours served via Track-It-Forward.
