World Relief Winter Cup

World Relief is beyond thrilled to host our first Winter Cup, a refugee youth soccer tournament for boys ages 8 - 13 in Rancho Cordova. This will be an all day event celebrating our new neighbors! Sign up to volunteer with any of the many roles to ensure a successful and fun event. There will be carnival games, face painting, and more!

Assist with the set-up of soccer fields and equipment.
Welcome and register all refugee team players. Provide instruction for which team they are assigned to and direct them to their coach/field. Dari language helpful but not required.
Help set-up game booths and snack stations. Volunteer must be able to lift tables and large snack boxes.
Help record team results, organization of team and assure players are in the right place at the right time. Assistant coaches can help with a child who is having difficulty understanding or following the rules and help free up the head coach to continue focusing on the needs of the whole team.
Referees will manage soccer matches played between teams of refugee children and youth players.
Assist with the set-up of lunch stations. Manage the organized distribution of snacks, lunch, and water for teams.
Volunteer for this high energy role where you can run games and interact with several of the refugee children and others in attendance.
We're looking for volunteers to work their face painting magic on refugee children and others in attendance. Materials provided!

Assist with the set-up of water stations. Ensure water stations are fully stocked and areas remain clean.
Assist with tear down and ensure all World Relief items are stored and packed.
