PHILANTHROPY: Village Harvest

Village Harvest is a nonprofit volunteer organization in Northern California whose mission is to provide food for people in need, promote sustainable use of urban resources, and preserve our agricultural heritage and skills. We organize and coordinate fruit harvesting, and provide education on fruit tree care, harvesting and food preservation.

EVENT: Fruit harvest in Palo Alto / Menlo Park
INVITEES: Boys and/or Parents
TIME: Saturday, January 22 & 29 (4 spots each). Harvests are usually 3 1/2 hours long.
INSTRUCTIONS: To volunteer for any harvest please visit the Events calendar at https://www.villageharvest.org/events to sign-up directly with Village Harvest. See all details and the current availability for each harvest, then click the link within each entry to sign up. Sign-ups are not first come, first served; priority goes to people who haven't been able to get into a harvest most recently or have waited the longest to get into their first harvest. NOTES: For all of these home harvests the maximum size of party is 2 people; minimum age 12 with a parent, age 16 without. Parties will need to drive between several homes during the morning.
