9 Lives Cat Rescue Advocate: Waiting List

The no-kill 9 Lives Cat Rescue Group is a welcoming place for cats and the people who love them.
Since 2006, they have provided care and compassion to stray and surrendered animals in Lafayette, MS and surrounding areas.

9 Lives spay and neuter all cats that come through before they leave for new homes. They are also involved with community outreach to help educate the community on the importance of vaccinating, spaying and neutering their pets.

The most important needs to fulfil for 9 Lives Cat Rescue is a list of potential fosters, volunteers to assist with cats housed in PetSmart and feral cat communities, and donations.
This opportunity is designed to give volunteers the flexibility to create their own schedule-- volunteers are allowed to serve anytime during the posted operating hours. If the opportunity doesn't have specific dates and times to sign up for, simply add a message to let us know what days and times you plan to serve so we can inform the community partner.

Foster
Signing up for this slot simply means you are interested in fostering. We will not assign you with a foster cat until you have fully committed and have been approved by 9 Lives Cat Rescue. Fosters are only temporary caretakers for cats and/or kittens but can continue to foster once they have been adopted or transported. Fosters are needed because: 1) Cats are awaiting adoptions or transports 2) Cats and/or kittens have not adapted to a domesticated lifestyle and need more socialization 3) Kittens are too small for adoption and need bottle fed

Cat Communities
There are several kitty communities around town. These communities are where feral cats live. Volunteers bring fresh food and water to these areas.

PetSmart Adoptable Cats
PetSmart allows 9 Lives Cat Rescue to house adoptable cats in their store. Volunteers are needed to help feed, water, clean the litters and spend quality time with them... lots of PETS.
