Calling All Silver Creek Girls: Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn FREE self-defense and empowerment on Friday, April 22nd after school. The course is fun, empowering, and cathartic (and supplies free snacks, journals, and stickers!) Seniors are especially encouraged to register in order to learn these skills before heading off to college.

Location: Main Gym at Creek
When: Friday, April 22nd at 2:50pm - Approx. 4:30pm
What: Empowerment Self-Defense course led by Fire and Root Co. Learn self-defense practices (such as punches, kicks, chokeholds), and partake in yoga, mindful journaling, and more. A safe space to build confidence, and connect the body and mind.

If you could also include this in the next SCLA newsletter like we discussed, that would be great as well.

We also discussed including my Chipotle fundraiser (Wed April 27th) in the SCLA newsletter. What week do you think would be best to include that? Maybe this week, and next? I've attached the flier and description for the event to this email in case you need it again.

Can fundraisers be uploaded to Track-It-Forward as well? Please let me know. Maybe that's one more way I could raise awareness?

Be sure to support Andersyn and her project, which has taught self-defense and empowerment courses to the girls at SCHS for free. See the attached flier for details.
