LCJP Your Story

Sunday, October 17 2021

Learn more about Restorative Justice and be part of making your community a better place!

Happening monthly, the next program date is Sunday, October 17th!
This is an in-person program, free to the public, and we provide lunch!
The Program is 10am-4pm with an hour or so for lunch, and plenty of break times in between.

Anyone 14-21 years old is welcome to join!

Your Story, Your Power is a youth program that centers youth voice, and uses art and storytelling to engage in honest conversations about different life experiences. This program is a great introduction to the relationship building power of restorative practices, and encourages youth to find new connections, new ideas, and new ways to express themselves.

Youth will speak about how to support each other during the program, and are encouraged to bring a friend if it makes the program feel approachable.

This program itself is a volunteer opportunity that includes a follow-up activity for a creative interpretation of the experience at the program (e.g. blog post, poem, video, art piece, etc.) Any time dedicated to creative interpretation projects will also count towards volunteer hours.
