Every year SCLA helps host the one of the biggest Chinese New Year Celebration in Colorado.

It takes an army of volunteers to make the day a success.

We have a lot of volunteer opportunities for you!

Set up, clean up, working booths, working in the parking lot, working in the kitchen, etc.

The event takes place from 2-5pm on February 8th, however we have the day divided into multiple shifts.

Consider which shift you would prefer and sign-up for as many as you would like but please keep in mind that just because you sign-up for a shift, does not mean you will end up in that area in the end.

8:00am - 12:00pm
set up gym / art show/booths
Hang out with your fellow volunteers while setting & help decorate the gym

8:00am - 6:30pm
ALL DAY HELPERS!
You will be moved a variety places / and help all over. There will be food for you all day.

12:00pm - 3:00pm
Greeters /Seaters / parking lot / last minute help
This shift includes handing out pamphlets as people walk in the door, directing people to seats, and helping people find a parking spot.

1:00pm - 3:30pm
Booth Shift 1
When you sign-up for a booth shift you will be assigned to one of the many cultural booths that take place during the event. This may be orgiami, zometools, and other fun activities for kids. There are two shifts but feel free to sign-up for both if you would like to. Help with the lantern parade and keep kids organized

1:30pm - 5:00pm
kitchen & commons
Working in the kitchen, you help organize the food samples and then hand them out to people waiting in line. Keeping tables clean / filling water containers

Booth Shift 2 / Auditorium

Clean up Crew
Take down the gym decorations, chairs, and then booths. It's fun with a friend!
