Show Wellington Some Love – Join Us for National Clean-Up Day!
Wellington is our home, and together we can make it shine! National Clean-Up Day is more than just picking up trash, it’s about neighbors helping neighbors, working side by side to beautify and appreciate the place we all call home.
Saturday, September 20
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Town of Wellington and the Wellington Main Street Program are teaming up to host a community-wide day of service, and we need YOUR help! All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. Volunteer individually or with a team, we have endless opportunities available and the more the merrier!
*Help manage the free dumpster site (located on the east side of 6th Street across from the Wellington Public Works facility)
*Join a group focused on cleaning the downtown area (Cleveland Ave, side streets, alley ways, flower planters, Centennial Park, Town entryway signs, etc.)
*Join a group focused on cleaning along the frontage road (From north to south we need to make the first impression of our community a great one!)
Host your own clean-up: Local businesses, schools, and neighborhoods are all encouraged to take part. Register your clean-up in advance, and we’ll provide a custom sign to showcase your efforts!
Whether you come with a group or on your own, every helping hand makes a difference. The more of us who pitch in, the brighter and cleaner Wellington will be. Bring your family, bring your neighbors, and let’s show some love for our community together!
Love Where You Live
Volunteers will help with traffic control, verification of residency, ensuring items are disposed of properly in the designated locations, and maintaining the general safety of the event area. Volunteers will meet at 8:45 at the event area on 6th Street across from the Wellington Public Works Facility. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Volunteers will help the Main Street team focus on cleaning up the downtown and frontage road areas. Including Cleveland Ave, 6th Street, alleyways, Centennial Park, side streets, flower planters, the Town's entryway signs, etc.. Volunteers can check in at the Main Street tent in Centennial Park. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate!
We are encouraging neighborhoods, businesses, and community groups to host their own clean ups around town! If you register your clean up here first, we will work with you to provide a custom sign promoting your clean up and recognizing your group!
