Bald Head Island Conservancy

Come join Bald Head Island Conservancy, the Shoals Club, BHI neighbors and friends to help reinforce the dunes at the BHI Shoals by planting dune grasses! Sign up for one or more 2-hour shifts and come out to plant sea oat plugs in the sun. We recommend wearing sturdy sandals or shoes, and cover up for sun protection. The ground will be uneven and steep. If you are. not physically able to be a "planter", please let us know, and we may have other jobs for you! Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellant. The Shoals Club will provide additional snacks and beverages for volunteers. More information will be provided to volunteers on parking and other logistics as the date approaches.
