Native Planting in Croton-on-Hudson NY

Friday, September 22 2023

Come help us restore forest habitat by planting native plants along the Old Croton Aqueduct trail in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. This planting is supporting a multi-year effort to remove invasive plants and restore areas along the trail.

You’ll work with the Wild Woods Restoration Project volunteers who have grown the native plants we'll be planting from locally-collected seeds. No experience is necessary. We provide the tools.

REGISTER: Event is limited to 10 participants. Advance registration is required.

Free on-street parking will be available. More details about meeting location will be provided on sign-up. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after registering. If you do not, please contact us for important event details.

ACTIVITY: You'll be working along the trail planting primarily small (plug) size plants using lightweight tools. We will walk a short distance along the trail to our first planting site. The second site is a little bit further walk during which we'll point out other native species that can be seen along the trail.
