Volunteer Opportunity: Saturday, Feb 21, 9am - 12pm with the Land Management Crew We have 500 some feet of buck and rail fence to assemble along Houts Reservoir. Alex and Jack will be assembling the A-frame components this week and staging the long coral poles near the lake. What we could use is extra sets of hands to move logs about and hold them in place while Alex and Jack use impact wrenches to screw in the long timber screws. Volunteers will: - Move 12 foot long pine wood corral poles from the staged area to the lakeside. - Move A-Frames from truck to lakeside. - Use power tools to secure timber screws This fencing project will help protect vital bird habitat and our rare populations of Colorado butterfly plant and tulip gentian.
