GAIN: Labor Exploitation Deferred Action Clinic

Friday, January 26 2024

Project Description:
Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) is hosting a small-scale labor-exploitation deferred action clinic in partnership with Sur Legal. GAIN is looking for up to 5 Spanish-speaking volunteers to join and assist immigrant survivors of labor exploitation with their deferred action applications. Volunteers will help interpret, translate written documents, and may also prepare (under attorney supervision) components of the deferred application application for survivors of labor exploitation in the Gainesville area.

All volunteers must be conversational to professionally proficient in Spanish. This project is in person in Gainesville, GA on Friday, January 26. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation. You will receive an email from GAIN with the exact location and further project details closer to time.
