Ouachita Green: Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Join the VCOM-Louisiana Volunteer Committee on March 18th, 2023 from 8:30am – 1:30pm as we help Ouachita Green with their Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. Ouachita Green’s mission focuses on recycling, environmental education, litter abatement, and beautification efforts in Ouachita Parish. We plan to have VCOM student volunteers to help promote Ouachita Green's mission, while also promoting the overall health and wellness in our community by collecting and educating on the proper disposal of environmentally hazardous items. They will be collecting everything from recyclable materials, to tires, to household waste products from the immediate community.
We ask that volunteers wear a VCOM shirt and dress comfortably and appropriately. The event will be located at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center (501 Mane St. West Monroe, LA 71291). Ouachita Green will be serving lunch as well to volunteers!
