Serving with a Purpose

Friday, March 24 2023

Join the VCOM-Louisiana Volunteer Committee in helping United Way of Northeast Louisiana! “Serving with a Purpose - Burgers, Bags, and Bears” is an incredible event to get involved with and aligns with United Way’s mission of advocating for and working towards the betterment of the health, education, and financial stability of every person in the community. This event will involve passing out wellness bags (filled with hygiene supplies and stuffed bears), giving donated coats to children, serving hamburgers and drinks, and providing the community with other resources. There will also be face painting, a coloring station, and rumor has it… some NFL alumni!

We were able to provide two days of volunteer opportunities, where Friday will be a set-up day and Saturday will be the event and take-down day.

This Serving with a Purpose event will take place at Berg Jones Elementary School (3000 Burg Jones Lane, Monroe). We ask that volunteers wear a VCOM shirt and dress comfortably and appropriately. Please ensure you also signup on United Way’s website at
