Ronald McDonald House- Big Bass Fishing Tournament

Saturday, June 11 2022

Join us in volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House of Northeast Louisiana as they hold their 31st Annual Ouachita River Big Bass Tournament. We ask that volunteers help RMH and their executive director, Georgia Street, as they put on this event to help raise proceeds for NELA RMH. General duties could include anything from distributing/selling donation tickets, helping at fish weigh in stations, distributing sponsor bags, etc. There will also be other small events throughout the weekend you are welcome to help Ms. Street with. The event will be held all day Saturday and Sunday, June 11th – June 12th, at Lazarre Park in West Monroe, LA.

We ask that volunteers wear a VCOM shirt and dress comfortably, for example wearing comfortable shorts (exercise-style shorts acceptable) and sneakers. I would recommend bringing water and sunscreen, just in case, as we will be outside at the park.

To provide some background information regarding the event, proceeds from the tournament will benefit Ronald McDonald House’s newest partnership with St. Francis Medical Center - “Ronald McDonald House in a Hospital.” The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to help families be closer to their loved ones when in the hospital, acting as a “Home Away from Home” for families with children in local area hospitals and medical centers. There is no charge to families staying at the NELA RMH, with only two RMHs in Louisiana – Monroe & New Orleans. Over 20,000 families from around the world have stayed at the NELA RMH, representing nearly every state and 9 foreign countries.

Do NOT log your hours separately, Simply signup and then sign-in at the event.
