The nonprofit Uncompaghre Watershed Partnership depends on more than 40 volunteers to help staff our free Annual Celebration of the Uncompahgre River Watershed at Rollans Park, Ridgway, Colorado. For details, see: https://ridgwayriverfest.org/

Morning shift helps set out silent auction items and sheets, and all shifts will watch over silent auction sheets and items, help answer questions of bidders, and get passers-by to take a look at items and consider bidding.

Checking ids, giving out wrist bands, take payments, and pouring beer with a smile!
Sign in volunteers, collect volunteer waivers, sell t-shirts, and provide UWP and event information.

Paint faces, collect donations, and provide other art activities to keep people waiting in line busy. Parents should be nearby (this is not babysitting).
Bake cookies on solar ovens and give out (donation jar also at booth)

Take videos and photos of event, and give them to festival coordinator by thumb drive or cloud server after event.
Help fill in when volunteers are late or don't show up or in festival stations that are experiencing a rush of interest! You may also play messenger between stations as necessary.
Help ensure safety during river events and between them as people play in water
Help coordinate the safety training with the river rescue personnel and the racers, make announcements at the river about the race schedule and the races as they are happening.
Make announcements throughout the day to highlight event schedule, sponsors, safety, silent auction sales, etc.
