Monday, November 10, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

The parking lot will be closed off starting around 5:00, except for aftercare which gets picked up at 5:30.

We will have grade 4 classes do the bulk of setting up the path on the Monday of the lantern walk--carrying them out and putting them in place. We will have the classes also gathering them on Tuesday morning after the walk.

We need help with:

- Staffing the night of: It would be great to have some shifts for at the start and end of the walk.

- Double checking the students' work after they finish on Monday afternoon (They'll do it the last period of the day.) and then right before the walk begins, making sure all the lanterns are lit and everything is ready to go. Sundown is 5:15 that night, FYI.

- Making sure everything is extinguished when the event is finished at 7:30. Again, no need to collect lanterns, grade 4 will do that the next morning.

As ever, we're going for a reverent and magical mood, where the culture is to be quiet or singing lantern songs. We're also trying to create an event that grade 4 kids feel some ownership over, as the big kids creating something special for the students younger than them.
