Faculty Lunch and Hearth Snack Fulfillment - Full Time Staff (Obsidian Class)

WHAT IS FACULTY LUNCH?

Each Friday of the year, the Parent Coordinators facilitate a lunch with their respective classes as an offering of appreciation and gratitude for our hard-working faculty while they attend their friday meetings.

Our class is 100% responsible to plan, coordinate, set up, prepare and provide all aspects of the meal, as well as clean up after everyone has been served. Meals must include gluten free, vegan and dairy free options to accommodate our faculty's diverse dietary needs. As always, all food at the school needs to be peanut free. Tables, table cloths, dietary labels, dinnerware and flatware are provided for use and can be found in the faculty lunch cabinet in the teachers lounge.

Faculty Lunch needs to be ready to serve at 12:30 in the gym. Volunteers can begin set up at 11:30am, followed by clean up beginning at about 1:30pm. (If games class is happening in the gym when you arrive, begin set-up in the atrium and move into the gym at Noon when the students are done).

MOST IMPORTANTLY: We are feeding 55 staff members, so when you sign up, please bring enough to serve the number indicated for your slot. Label any items that are GF and/or Vegan and be sure your name is clearly written on all bowls, crock-pots, or containers you would like returned. THANK YOU!

HEARTH SNACK FULFILLMENT

Each class is also responsible to fulfill the hearth snacks the same week you facilitate faculty lunch.
The Hearths are shared gathering spaces among classroom groups that serve as a warm and separate area that students can go for a break, snack, or additional support. As a parent community, we have enjoyed helping provide extra nourishment for each others kids in this space.
