Smiling Hogshead Ranch

Did you know that two baby Paw Paw trees where the first thing that the founding members of the Ranch planted in 2011?! Join us during GreenThumb’s ‘Open Garden Weekend’ for a tour of the food forest that Hogshead members have been cultivating for the past 15 years. Discover the layers of edible plants that make up our food forest including nut trees, fruiting vines, berry bushes, herbs, brambles, ground cover, root veggies and mushrooms. Tour starts at noon. Stick around to help care for some of the trees and shrubs by applying compost and mulch. This tour will be led by co-founder gil lopez.
