Upper Mad Opening Weekend - Logout

Friday, July 03 2026

We are officially in high fire watch in our area. Please be mindful of campfires, have a spark arrester on your bike (required), and be careful what your saw touches.

Don't have plans for Fourth of July? Come help us open the Upper Mad in the Entiat!

We will be working on this area to get it open to the public with the US Forest Service, so you get first tracks. Come celebrate America 250 by riding your dirtbike. This will be lead by NMA, work plan supported by USFS.

We will have reservations at Meadow Creek Campground which has river access! Trailer maximum length is 30 ft.

There is no water or garbage service. We will have to brappp in and brappp out everything! I will bring water, but please come prepared with a lot of your own water as well!

Here is the campground information - https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/okanogan-wenatchee/recreation/meadow-creek-campground

Friday is a free-ride day, you can arrive at the campground anytime after lunchtime to set up if you're coming from afar and need a place to stay or if you're local and looking for some adventure. I will serve dinner between 6 and 7 pm.

Saturday breakfast will start at 8 am, trip talk at 9 am. Return in the afternoon in time for dinner.

Sunday rinse and repeat.

Dinner will be provided on Friday. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. If you have any allergies or needs, please email [email protected]

The volunteer tool trailer will be there with Trail Boss hand tools, a few saws, PPE, and equipment fuel. Bring your own saws if you have a preference. If you are not USFS chainsaw certified, buddy up with someone who is!
