TTC work party at Capitol Forest on Saturday 4/18/2026

Saturday, April 18 2026

Meet at the Tacoma Trail Cruisers property at 8:00 a.m., head out to work at 9:00 a.m. sharp. 9201 Sherman Valley Road, Olympia. NOTE: This is private property, not a staging area for non-club members. All are welcome when participating in volunteer work parties. The motorized trails of Capitol Forest are currently under seasonal closure. TTC has special permission to ride the trails in order to perform maintenance. Please enjoy and do not abuse this privilege.

We will be clearing trails of brush and any debris on the trail system, draining mudpuddles, assessing future projects and reporting back to DNR on what we find out.

What Do Volunteers Need to Bring? Drinking water, snacks, gloves, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE),
raingear, motorcycle or quad. Please plan for a 30-mile loop worth of gas. Bring a machete, hedge trimmer or loppers to cut back the brush. Chainsaw if you are certified by DNR.

We will have Chili and Hot Dogs served in the TTC shelter afterwards!
