DNR led work party at Walker Valley on Saturday June 28
Saturday, June 28 2025
This Saturday, June 28th, efforts will be focused along Peter Burns Rd (a.k.a. Walker Valley Mainline) to block vehicle access into sensitive ditch areas. These areas are being damaged by unauthorized "mudding," which not only tears up the road but also increases water turbidity—something the Department of Ecology has monitored within our road and trail system.
Crews will be placing logs across the ditches to prevent further access and damage. The DNR will have a dump trailer loaded with logs and additional logs are staged in piles ready to go.
