Upper Bidwell Park Trail work

Saturday, May 10 2025

Spring is in full force, and Trailworks needs your help with brushing and vegetation removal along trails in Upper Park. We will be meeting at 7am on Saturday, May 10th, at the Ten Mile House Road parking lot off of highway 32 (6.8 miles east of Bruce road, green gate parking lot). We will carpool down 10 mile house road to Annie B Trail, where we will be working. Depending on the number of volunteers, we may need to ask 1 or 2 volunteers to drive their personal vehicles down the road (high clearance vehicle a must).
This day will likely require several miles of hiking, and possibly operating a string trimmer/hedger for those willing. We are trying to avoid the heat by starting early. Some of this work can be strenuous, but know you would not be expected to do any work you are not comfortable with.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and any essential items you need. Tools and basic PPE will be provided. Your RSVP to this event acknowledges that you have read, understand and agree to the terms as described in the attached City of Chico release of liability. In the event the participant is under 18 years of age, please print & complete the attached volunteer application & return to Shane Romain, Parks & Natural Resources Mgr. shane.romain@chicoca.gov or 530-896-7831. Event sponsored by Chico Velo Trailworks and the City of Chico.
