This Earth Day help our community by giving tours of the new and improved native garden at Muir High School.

MISSION
PUSD has been on a mission to green up our school gardens and campuses with native, waterwise plants and gardening methods that will not only make these areas more beautiful, but will have a positive effect on student wellness. The garden at Muir is our prime example. It's a lovely space full of natives, pollinators, and innovative gardening techniques.

Your volunteer efforts will help us feature the Muir Garden during ScienceFest which takes place on the afternoon of Earth Day from Noon - 5 PM. We would like to have volunteers who are California garden lovers and who would feel comfortable leading small groups into and around the garden.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years old +.
Attire: Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. Gloves and tools will be provided (bring your own gloves if preferred). Wearing sunscreen and hats is strongly encouraged.

TRAINING
Garden details and training for the event will be given when you arrive. Please arrive on time.

Please bring your own water and snacks.

Please park on Canada Ave or nearby streets adhering to all parking signs. See area on map marked "P". Please be aware that parking will be impacted due to the size of this community event. Plan accordingly to arrive on time; carpools and ridesharing options are encouraged.
