Distribute Grab & Grow Kits to 3rd Graders

Volunteer to distribute seed kits for PUSD 3rd graders. These "Grab & Grow" kits accompany their plant life cycle lessons.
Each kit will contain a small bag of dirt, a planting container, seeds, an information booklet from Huntington Gardens, a magnifying glass, and instructions. These supplies are essential for our students’ science lessons this semester.
WHEN:
9 AM - 12 PM
Monday, Oct. 5
*Please arrive 15 minutes early to start your shift*
WHERE TO GO:
This will vary per school site. Report to the meal distribution area at the school where you sign up to volunteer. Look for the pop-up tents!
PARKING:
Park in the parking lot away from the meal distribution area or on a nearby street adhering to all parking signs.
DRESS:
Dress for the weather, comfort, and mobility.
SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
**All volunteers help with the understanding that they do so at their own risk. Anytime a person leaves their home, they increase their chance of exposure to COVID-19.**
- High school students aged 15 and up can serve with parent permission and if they do not have synchronous learning during distribution hours.
- Please wear your own face covering, such as a bandana, scarf, or mask.
**Given the state mandate of no more than 10 people gathering at a time, we are asking for a specific number of volunteers. If you cannot make your shift, please let us know right away. Never volunteer if you are not feeling well. Cancel your shift.**
