Pick up COBS Bread's Sunday leftovers for the residents of Schoolhouse Apartments to enjoy!
This volunteer opportunity involves picking up empty donation bins from Peggy Faughnan's (director of Schoolhouse Apartments) home - 16 Butler Drive, New Canaan, collecting the day's leftover bread and pastries from COBS Bread 1057 High Ridge Road, Stamford (475-619-5692) and returning the filled bins to back to 16 Butler Drive.
Volunteer Steps:
Prior to the weekend, text or call Peggy at (203) 912-7868 to coordinate bin pickup. Arrive at COBS Bread no later than 5:50 and knock on the back door as they are expecting some one from SLOBS. PLEASE CALL THE STORE IF YOU WILL BE LATE OR DONATIONS WILL BE GIVEN AWAY Fill the bins and large zip-top bags with as much bread and pastries as possible, then return everything to Peggy at 16 Butler Drive.
Note: Wearing disposable gloves is recommended. COBS Bread often has a box of gloves available on the counter.
