Planet New Canaan has a strong preference for a parent/son team.
Planet New Canaan is helping to reduce waste through the Swap Shop, located at the New Canaan Transfer Station. At the Swap Shop, gently used items are repurposed to keep them out of the waste stream. The Redeemable Can Shed at the Swap Shop also provides recycling services.
SLOBs volunteers will assist with organizing donations of all kinds, as well as sorting recyclables at the redeemable can shed.
Volunteers can come for an hour any time between 9 and 1; however, both volunteers must come for the same hour. Please email melissamhryan@yahoo.com the Friday before your volunteer day to let her know what hour you will be there.
Lastly, do not bring any personal belongings into the Swap Shop. It is a place where people come to donate and take items, so people may think any item they see is available for taking.
