Bees: Spring Cleaning & Hive Prep (Raindate: 3/29 at 1pm)

Saturday, March 28 2026

Throughout the year Beekeeper Fred will need help with the bees. This can range from observing from the sidelines to getting involved firsthand and putting on a bee suit to assist during Hive Checks, Work Days and Honey Extraction Days.

Now that Spring is here, it's time to get the Bee Shed and Hives ready for growing season. We will be cleaning, preparing hives, painting some hives, and waxing frames. This event must occur on a dry day, so we are meeting on Saturday March 28 from 10-1pm or if it's raining, plan to be at the Rain Date scheduled for Sunday, March 29 from 1-4pm.

Meet at the Bee Shed. Parking available at the All Seasons Barn or next to the farm sign on Ridge Street.
