Usher for Puppet Shows

Saturday, January 03 2026

We’re looking for volunteers to help set up and support our upcoming free puppet shows for all ages. These classic British panto–style performances are created and supervised by the Woodward Family Puppeteers and include a short intermission with free snacks and donation jars. Volunteers will help with set-up, check in attendees, and then serve as ushers for the show, helping everyone get seated, pointing audience members to the facilitiies, and assisting during the show's intermission.

You can stay for the entire show (one hour and 15 minutes with intermission), or else leave after intermission if you prefer. You are welcome to take both shifts and stay for the whole evening as well.

The Merry Adventures of Little Robin Riding Hood
A mash-up of Robin Hood and Little Red Riding Hood, in which our heroine not only delivers her granny from the belly of the wolf - she saves the whole village of Nottingham from the persecutions of a lupine tool of the aristocracy keeping the villagers in a fearful, submissive state. This show includes a live acoustic band and lots of charming and personable audience interaction. There will be an intermission with free snacks.
