Bees: Hive Checks

Join Fred and Sally, our beekeepers, for a biweekly hive inspection.
– Hands-on or observational – your choice
– Bring your own bee suit if you have one; we have extras to share
– Shared suits are stored outdoors – please shake them out before putting them on
– Learn how to check hive health and activity
Meet at the Bee Shed – next to the Flower Shed and Winter Chicken Coop
– Parking: All Seasons Barn or near the Ridge Street farm sign
Volunteer Role: Beekeeping Helper

– Ages 14+ (younger allowed with a parent/guardian)
– Season: April to November
– Time: 1–3 hours per session
– Physical demands: Optional hive work; note that bees may sting
– Clothing: Long sleeves, pants, closed-toed shoes, and a hat; bring your bee suit if you have one
