Free Tree Giveaway Registration Celebration!

Saturday, September 16 2023

When: Saturday, September 16
10 AM to 12 PM

Where: June Key Delta Community Center
5904 N Albina St. Portland OR 97217

Come help us celebrate trees while we register folks to get a Free Yard Tree (or two!) We're throwing a little get-together aimed at educating the public about the work Urban Forestry does throughout Portland. We'll have crafts, a raffle, information about the Free Street Tree program, and tree experts to help with registration. Oh, and did we mention snacks?

We'll need a handful of volunteers to run different activities. If you like kids and crafts, please help us run the craft tables. We're also looking for a couple of greeters for the door and a general helper/ outreach person to invite folks in the park to join us.

Before attending any event: if you are not feeling well, have a temperature above 100.4ᵒ or receive a recommendation to self-isolate – please stay home.

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 236,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and innumerable private property trees. Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
