WHAT: Have you met our Community Stewardship team? With additional resources from the Parks Levy, our team has grown and we want to meet you! Join us for an evening social and make some festive decor to take home.

Many of Portland's native and ornamental evergreen trees can be pruned for decorative use this winter season. Learn which trees are the most popular for garlands, which boughs will last the longest, and more!

WHERE: The Historic Overlook House ( 3839 N Melrose Dr, Portland, OR 97227)

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 220,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and innumerable private property trees. Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
