WHAT: Team Leaders guide novice volunteers through scientific data collection to collect species, size, and health data on Portland's street trees. This training is required for all team leaders. We will go over project goals, inventory protocol, and the tools used to collect data. We will NOT be covering tree identification. Please practice and review your tree identification skills prior to this training; an introductory presentation to tree identification is available online: www.portland.gov/trees/get-involved/tree-identification

WHERE: Woodlawn Park Amphitheater (6854 NE Claremont Ave, Portland, OR 97211)

WHEN: Tuesday, June 28. The training will begin at 6:00 PM and will end at 8:00 PM.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Please wear close-toed shoes and dress for the weather as this event will be held rain or shine. We recommend bringing a tote bag or backpack, hat, and water bottle. Please leave dogs at home.
