-Helping students dig their hole and talking them through the steps for tree planting.
-Staking trees
-Cleaning up tools

Details:
-We will work rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
-Snacks and water will be provided to volunteers. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
-Everyone must wear a mask and be vaccinated to work with the students.
-Urban Forestry will have gloves and all the tools needed.

*Volunteers working this event need to have a background check on file with Portland Parks & Recreation. If you aren't sure if you have a background check on file or need to fill out the form, please contact ufvolunteers@portlandoregon.gov.
If you are a Neighborhood Tree Steward or you have planted with us at schools in the past, you likely already have a background check on file.
