What: Irvington Tree Walk: Irvington's Changing Forest--A Century of Photographs Documenting Growth and Change
When: Saturday, October 19, 10 a.m. til about noon
Where: Meet at Augustana Lutheran Church at NE 15th and Knott under the Caucasian wingnut trees on Knott
Please join the Irvington Tree Team for a two-mile walk led by environmental historian Dave Hedberg. He will take us through Irvington matching historic photos of trees with their approximate locations. From these photos and the landscape around us we will learn what has and has not changed in the neighborhood, as well as some important lessons from our past.
Bring walking shoes and rain gear, just in case.
